Lalita Tripurasundari Mysore Painting

Lalita Tripurasundari Mysore Painting

The Darbar of Sri Lalita Tripurasundari~
This magnificent Mysore painting unveils the most beautiful and supreme Mother of the cosmos. Radiant and resplendent, she is depicted seated upon Sadashiva.

On either side of her throne studded with precious gems, stand Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Saraswati, gracefully holding peacock-feather fans. Their very presence reflects her divine authority- the goddesses themselves are ready to serve her. Such is her supremacy that it is said, - when Lalita Tripurasundari sings, even Saraswati, the goddess of music and knowledge, falls silent to listen in awe of her celestial voice.

Her countenance shines with the serenity of the full moon, radiating beauty, calm, and compassion. At her feet sit the gods themselves— Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva (Rudra), along with Lord Ganesha and Lord Shanmukha (Muruga with six heads)— all acknowledging her as the Supreme Mother of the Universe.

At the very base of the painting lies a meticulously detailed Śri Chakra Yantra, the sacred geometric diagram that represents the cosmos and the union of Shiva and Shakti.

Every inch of this painting brims with exquisite detail—from the ornate carpet beneath her throne to the intricate, jewel-like background. Crafted using 22 karat gold leaves, the work radiates timeless brilliance.

Inspired by a rare old lithograph, this Mysore masterpiece is not just an artwork but a divine darshan—an enchanting vision of Lalita Tripurasundari's celestial court, captured with unmatched devotion and artistry.
